Packing List

We've crafted this guide to help you pack thoughtfully for an unforgettable safari experience in Manas National Park.

Safari Clothing
The secret to comfort in the jungle is choosing the right colors and fabrics. Stick to earth tones - khaki, olive, brown, and beige. These natural shades help you blend seamlessly with the forest environment and ensure wildlife remains undisturbed. Bright and vibrant colors should be avoided as they can startle animals and attract unwanted insects.

For your safari drives, pack:

Long-sleeved cotton shirts to protect from sun and vegetation

Full-length trousers in breathable fabrics

A wide-brimmed hat or safari cap

Comfortable walking shoes with good grip

A light jacket or fleece for misty mornings

Seasonal Considerations:
Winter (November to February): Early mornings can be surprisingly cold, dropping to 5-8°C. The magical mist that enhances wildlife viewing also brings a chill. Its better to put on Warm fleece or jacket, Gloves and warm socks, A scarf or muffler

Summer (March to May): As temperatures rise, animals gather at water sources, creating excellent viewing opportunities. Light, loose cotton clothing is recommended.

Monsoon (June to September): While the park closes, our resort remains open for those seeking the dramatic rain-soaked jungle. It is recommended to pack Quick-dry clothing, Quality rain jacket & Waterproof bags for electronics.

Essential Safari Gear
The right equipment enhances your wildlife experience significantly. While we provide basic binoculars in our vehicles, bringing your own ensures you never miss a moment. Don't forget:

UV-protection sunglasses
High SPF sunscreen (30+ recommended)
Insect repellent (we provide some, but bring your preferred brand)
Small daypack for safari essentials
Camera with zoom capability (200mm+ for wildlife)
Torch or flashlight for evening walks
Extra batteries and memory cards

Photography Equipment

Binoculars (8x40 or 10x42 work perfectly): We keep some spare binoculars for use during your safaris

What NOT to Pack
To preserve the jungle's serenity and comply with regulations:

Plastic bags (we're an eco-friendly resort)
Drones or UAVs (prohibited in national parks)
Music players or speakers
Strong perfumes or cologne
Bright or fluorescent clothing

Remember, you're visiting a remote jungle location. Bring any prescription medications, spare glasses or contact lenses, and personal essentials you can't do without. The nearest ATM is at Manas National Park Main Gate, so carry sufficient cash.
Most importantly, pack light and practical. You're here to immerse yourself in nature's wonders. Whatever small things you might forget, the magic of the jungle and our warm hospitality will more than compensate.
